GraceMachin achieves conversion of rural building into new dwellinghouse on the edge of Hawksworth village, South Nottinghamshire

Residential The Glebe, Hawksworth Road, Scarrington, Nottinghamshire,

From an initial site meeting at the beginning of April, Nottingham Planning Consultants GraceMachin has secured planning approval within 9 weeks.

We have been successful in exercising the right granted under Class P of the General Permitted Development Order (GPDO) for a change of use of a building and any land within its curtilage used for Class B8 storage or distribution to a new dwellinghouse.

The building to be converted has a gross floor space of approximately 225m² and will eventually adopt a contemporary design approach.

The proposals will create a large three bedroom family home and include the formation of a domestic curtilage around the new dwelling and dedicated car parking area. Our client now has 3 years to carry out the project.

All application drawing work, CGI Visuals, as well as the planning submission itself was undertaken by GraceMachin.

Partner George Machin said:

“I am absolutely delighted with the outcome. Not only did we achieve planning approval but we achieved it in nearly record time too. We packaged the application properly to ensure it was validated & processed by the Council quickly.

I was able to set out my supporting Statement in such a way that it covered all crucial aspects of the proposed development. I also think the CGI Visuals that we provided were helpful in providing a realistic image of what can be achieved if the building is converted properly.”
