Nick Grace and George Machin are Chartered Planning Consultants with almost 40-year's professional work experience between them. This has been gained predominantly in the private sector. Working as colleagues GraceMachin Planning & Property was set up in the middle of 2012 and operates from the heart of Nottingham in the City’s Lace Market and Creative Quarter.
Across the East Midlands, and sometimes further afield in England and Wales, work undertaken ranges from small scale projects – single one off homes (including those of outstanding design and innovation) to large scale strategic promotion of land through the Local Plan process.
Both partners regularly appear at Local Plan Hearing Sessions and regularly deal with a wide range of planning appeals, including informal hearings and Public Inquiries.
Planning Policy both nationally and locally is constantly evolving and knowing what is happening in the local market is vital to securing planning success.
Nick Grace specialises in rural planning matters and is highly supportive of a vibrant and viable countryside working with a range of Estates, farming families and private landowners. Nick has a particular focus within Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. Nick is also a member of ProCon; a community of property and construction professionals with extensive links across Nottinghamshire.
George Machin specialises in residential planning permission in both rural and urban areas. Ranging from single dwellings to schemes of circa 450 homes. Recently George has been involved with a number of student schemes within Nottingham City Centre.
