Permission secured for Self-Build Opportunity in Rural Nottinghamshire

Residential South Scarle, Nottinghamshire, NG23

GraceMachin Planning & Property are delighted to have successfully obtained planning permission for the conversion of a vacant Dutch Barn in South Scarle, Nottinghamshire.

This development will be carried out as a self-build for our client’s daughter and the family are now very excited to get started.

Partner at GraceMachin, George Machin was instructed to assess the planning potential of client’s existing Farm Yard and identified the existing Dutch Barn as a significant development opportunity. We advised that it should be possible to secure planning permission for the conversion of the vacant farm building to residential use.

Lying on the edge of the farm yard but within the South Scarle Conservation Area, the building has an interesting and unique appearance which in our view made it worthy of retention.

"Application to receipt of planning permission within 8-weeks."

George led a team consisting of consultant architect, structural surveyor and ecologist in packaging together a strong application that was capable of withstanding objection.

GraceMachin prepared a robust Planning, Heritage and Design & Access Statement and progressed the application to receipt of planning permission within 8-weeks.

Who else is winning planning permission with GraceMachin?
