Planning Permission Granted at Grade II* Allington Manor, Near Grantham

Leisure and Tourism Allington, Lincolnshire, NG32 2DH

GraceMachin Planning and Property have secured a third permission in quick succession at Allington Manor which is a highly rated family run business near Grantham. In recent times it has been investing heavily in its future to secure long-term jobs for local people with new rooms and accommodation.

The latest permission, which includes new office accommodation for the expanding business, will assist in allowing the development and growth of our Client’s existing rural enterprise. As a Listed building, with this permission in place, it will be in a far better position to operate efficiently and successfully as a prestigious hotel and wedding venue in the Lincolnshire area, close to the Vale of Belvoir.

The application submission made to South Kesteven District Council set out that:

“The Vincent family have made Allington Manor one of the finest Manor House hotel and wedding venues in Lincolnshire. In the last 3 years alone Allington Manor has more than doubled its turnover."

A comprehensive heritage appraisal of the site identified that the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was supportive of the proposal in principle. The NPPF encourages local planning authorities to consider the desirability of sustaining and enhancing the significance of heritage assets and putting them to viable uses consistent with their conservation.

By diversifying the use of the Grade II Listed building it was our view that this latest proposal would help to further secure the “optimum viable use” of this Listed building.

GraceMachin Planning & Property have again worked in partnership with both Allington Manor and South Kesteven District Council to ensure that this rural based, ‘Listed building enterprise’ has a long-lasting viable future within the District.

"Once again we have chosen GraceMachin Planning Property to submit our proposals. Following lengthy discussions with ourselves, the consultant architect and the Local Planning Authority, our trust in them has been rewarded. In achieving another permission for us GraceMachin have proved their worth. Without them we may simply not have been able to achieve what the business needs at this time of on-going expansion. Thank you, GraceMachin Planning & Property!"

Leo Vincent, Owner of Allington Manor
