Another HMO planning permission obtained by GraceMachin

Residential Sutton in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire, NG17

Ashfield District Council has granted planning permission for the change of use from a detached family home to an 8 no. bedroom House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) in Sutton-in-Ashfield, that will be specifically aimed for the occupation of tenants over the age of 55.

The property is situated in a highly accessible location along Kirkby Road. Each of the new bedrooms will be spacious, with their own en-suite bathrooms and will be individually designed. Furthermore, single and two-storey extensions have been approved to the property to create a highly attractive and inviting environment for prospective tenants.

The Client in this case, Peach Co-Living, work in partnership with local Estate Agents and the District Council seeking to address the social issues surrounding loneliness and support the increasingly proactive approach of Adult Social Care to encourage people to “age well”.

GraceMachin were instructed to prepare a robust planning application that was packaged together properly and included a concept design document, supporting Planning Statement and letters of support from local Estate Agents specifically commenting on the increasing need for high-quality shared living accommodation, particularly for the over 55s sector of the market.

Ahead of the formal planning application submission, GraceMachin were able to advise our Client on matters such as minimum bedroom sizes, kitchen / dining room requirements and other amenity thresholds.

We are delighted to have secured a planning consent for Peach Co-Living and are confident that this will be the first of many projects of its kind within Ashfield District.
