New Dwelling Granted in Open Countryside

Residential Teversal, Nottinghamshire, NG17

GraceMachin Planning & Property have been successful in securing planning approval for a detached dwelling on the rural edge of Teversal, North Nottinghamshire. GraceMachin were able to present a robust set of planning arguments to Ashfield District Council in support of the grant of planning consent for this new dwelling.

Our view was that the benefits arising from the proposal would be significant. There will be economic uplift during construction through short term employment and the purchase of building materials. Future occupiers will also contribute to the local economy. Socially, the development will add to the supply of housing in the local area. Occupiers will also participate in the local community and use relevant services and facilities.
Against that, we accepted that the proposal would cause limited harm to the open countryside and openness of the site, but that ‘on balance’ the harm caused by the development would not “significantly and demonstrably” outweigh the benefits.

Whilst at this stage the application was submitted in outline, GraceMachin envisage the design, materials, siting and scale of the new dwelling to reflect the character and appearance of the immediate surroundings ensuring that the scheme, when complete, will be respectful to the local environment and street scene.

GraceMachin undertook all planning consultancy and application drawing work and the planning application was determined within eight weeks of formal submission.
