Permission Granted - Two 4,300 sq ft houses in a Conservation Area

Residential Edwalton, Nottinghamshire, NG12

We deal with a large number of projects where heritage impact assessments are needed and assessing the ‘significance’ of heritage assets is key. Understanding this key issue before embarking on detailed design work can result in long term significant cost savings for the client.

Our client wanted to deliver a high end scheme in a high profile location that would raise their profile in the local market, but was concerned that the site would simply not accommodate any new development.

Working with specialist heritage consultants and liaising with the local authority Conservation Officer, we identified that a significant public benefit would result from this new development, while still ensuring that a ‘key view’ within the Conservation was retained.
