Permission Granted - Mixed use development comprising retail space and 55 student accommodation

Residential Nottingham NG1

Working in partnership with Nottingham City Council and a local architect, we delivered a mixed use development comprising new 55 no. bed space student accommodation at first, second, third, fourth and fifth floor levels, and retail use at ground floor.

The site is in a sensitive location within a Conservation Area, with close to Listed buildings, and our client was concerned that the Council would insist that the building was no more than 4 storey.

We were able to progress positive discussions with the Council’s planning, conservation and urban design team, and achieve a resolution to grant full planning permission at a Planning Committee in December 2017.

The decision notice has now been issued by Nottingham City Council and work commenced on site in July 2018.
