New Self Storage Facility Granted Planning Permission in the Waterside Regeneration Area, Nottingham

Industrial Nottingham, NG2

GraceMachin Planning & Property have recently obtained planning permission for a new self-storage facility with office accommodation on Little Tennis Street to the East of Nottingham City Centre.

GraceMachin have a good working relationship with Nottingham City Council Planning Department, and the site owners supported our recommendations to undertake formal pre-application consultation with the Local Planning Authority, prior to the submission of a formal planning application.

The pre-application scoped the key planning issues, and we obtained feedback on the principle of development. It was identified that the key technical matter related to Highways and so we worked alongside BSP Consulting who produced a supporting Transport Statement.

"Following formal submission of the application, the application was approved within six weeks of validation."

CPMG Architects in Nottingham produced the supporting design and drawing work to accompany the application.

Following formal submission of the application, the application was approved within six weeks of validation.

Overall, the application site is located within the Waterside regeneration area as defined by the Local Plan. As noted by the Policy team, the proposed use did not "not prejudice the wider regeneration and transformation of the Waterside area" (Policy RE1) and does not undermine the delivery of the strategic aims for the regeneration of the Waterside area contained in Policy RE8.

This represents another planning application fully project managed by GraceMachin Planning & Property will which assist in the economic regeneration of Nottingham and has delivered a positive result for the client expediently.
